Celtic Ravens by Tharivious Celtic Ravens by Tharivious
The foundation of a full-mantle tattoo that I intend to have done over the next few years, starting... soon. Ambiguous, I know.

Going on my chest just below the collarbone first (going to be extremely painful - I'm diving head-first into the tattoo process), then a much larger version of the same design across the back of my shoulders. Each one will eventually be shaded and accented in different color sets to reflect the four classical elements.

The rest of the mantle is going to take a while. I'm planning to design the entire piece myself, with an overall theme focused on the imagery of life and death (ravens are, in Irish mythology, very similar to the valkyrie in Norse tradition, serving as choosers of the dead in times of war).

It's pretty awesome! Although I think it would look better on your back.

Thanks.

It'll be both chest and back, but I'm going to start with the chest piece because a) it's smaller, and b) I'm a college student running on financial aid at the moment. :-P
